Ben, a 64-year-old pianist, is playing his piano as he is interrupted by the noises of the boy next door. Ben begins to get frustrated as the interruptions continue to hinder his practicing, which leads to the confrontation between Ben and the little boy. In this confrontation, Ben realizes something about the boy that ultimately changes the way he perceives music.
